I wore this dress to our town's 300th anniversary gala. It was a total hit!! Only one other woman wore a Victorian dress, but mine really fit the bill. I will say it runs a fair amount on the large size, but for the price it is worth some simple alterations. The quality is amazing for a costume...... great fabric, great stitching, no itchy materials what so ever. The petticoat and corset are even high quality. I should mention that I believe it is meant to be off the floor length so as to wear period lace up boots with a heal. I say this because I am only 5'3" and it was just off the floor for me with completely flat shoes which was fine. Most importantly, I was completely comfortable for the entire evening..... from sitting for dinner to dancing the night away.
I’m a former dancer, but was never a heels dancer. Bought these and performed a heels solo without any issues! Practiced and performed on hardwood and vinyl planking. Didn’t slip and the soles are good for turning. They do run big - which is great! I’m an extra wide 6/6.5 and the 6 is just fine. When wearing tights, I found myself sliding forward in the shoes. Definitely going to buy in more colors!
That's helpful feedback! It's always tricky when you're in between sizes. It sounds like you still got some nice leggings though!
Loving how beautiful this looks in person. Haven't worn it yet so I can comment on function as yet but I am definitely in love with how it looks. Love the flexibility of dressing it up or down with the removal/addition of the pearls. Great idea
I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the number of pants you received. It's always frustrating when expectations aren't met, especially when you're looking forward to a good deal. I'm glad to hear that you liked the feel and fit of the pants, and I hope they hold up well for you!
