The nutritional yeast I could eat dry out of the bag!!!! The pea protein I do not like.

This was my second purchase of pea protein, the first was another, more expensive brand, but the products seem identical. I love peas, but that’s not this taste. I got used to this after 5 uses, but it’s unpleasant at first. Kinda bites the back of the tongue, kind of peppery?, with an Indescribable bad taste. Now, I hardly notice the difference from unflavored whey. Seems to do the same as whey, too. Doesn’t make me especially gassy. It is exceptionally fine and has static cling. A little messy coming out of the bag. It doesn’t seem to blend as easily as whey. It’s a good, plant-based option that I will continue to use.
Nooch needs no explanation. I like theirs. It�s a bit more mellow tasting than braggs but still gives that cheesy umami flavor. I LOVE this pea protein. I�m certainly a protein smoothie person and the flavored protein powders can be very sweet and a big high in calorie for my needs. I do half and half and its really been essential to me finally meeting my protein goals. It�s also fantastic to make savory things with. We always see protein powders used in dessert recipes, but i made a veggie quiche with just egg and tvp sausage crumbles (i like their tvp too) and used this pea protein powder in the crust�. It was fantastic�. and a significant amount of protein per 1/6 of the quiche.
I just finished my first container of BulkSupplements Pure Pea Protein Powder, and have already started on my second bag. This is a great product for someone, like me, who has been trying to limit or eliminate animal products from his/her diet. The taste is neutral, making it very easy to add to a shake. While others mentioned the product is difficult to mix by hand, it has never been a problem with my electric blender, and leaves no grit or powdery taste. The product is consistent throughout, and appears to be processed at a high standard of quality. The one drawback to this item is the packaging. The pouch is nice as a space-saving container, but the closure does not work effectively. I purchased a clip-top plastic container just to store the powder, because it is very difficult to close the zipper securely after scooping out a serving. This packaging is also difficult to open for the first time. During shipping, the powder will fill the top-seal area which needs to be removed. Even cutting rather than ripping this seal causes some powder to go just about everywhere (I recommend opening it in the sink) until enough air can enter the package to let the powder at the top fall down into the rest of the package. I highly recommend a plastic dry-goods container for storing the product after opening.
