This is a beautiful, well-made dress that is perfect for important work events and evenings. My wife is in between sizes, so she picked the larger size and is happy she did as it is very formfitting. She is 6 feet tall, and the length is perfect, so it is also great for tall women. The material looks like it is tweed with some sparkliness, but it is very stretchy. There is a zipper up the back that looks classy. She is very happy with this pick.
This is a beautiful dress, but it was not exactly as I expected based on the photos and size chart. In some ways, this was good and in other ways, not ideal for me. The material has a lot of stretch to it! Not necessarily what I expect with tweed, but more comfortable. The dress is not lined, and the fabric (being stretchy) doesn't hold its shape independently, giving this more of a bodycon fit than I expected. Also, the sleeves have several big darts in the shoulder area, which creates a "puffed sleeve" look that I simply don't see in the pictures here. It is very obvious on me when I tried this on. That is not a look I care for, as I am already broad through the shoulder and bust, thus giving me more of a "top heavy" look than I would like. Sizing: I ordered this dress in a size Large after reviewing the size chart and comparing my measurements against it. The dress is very snug on me. I am 5'7, 140 lbs, have a 39" bust, a 31" waist, and a 40" hip, so the large should have safely fit me, and it does, if I wanted a bodycon fit. I do not, however, want that, and I don't imagine most women my age (mid-40's) and size (typically a ladies dress size 10 or 12) do. The XL in this dress would have been the right size for me - though I still would not like it, because of the puffed sleeves.
I had been eyeing this Calvin Klein dress for some time. I'm glad I was patient, because I got it for half off. Compared to other the store dresses from off-brands, the quality is outstanding. The zipper works perfectly. The dress is lined. It's wrinkle-free and glides over the body. For reference, I'm 5'2" and weight 127lbs. I purchased a 6 and the fit was perfect except for the length. However, I may leave the dress below the knee. It doesn't hit my calves at an awkward spot. Highly recommended.
Perfect fit. I like the zipper on the back, glides smoothly. I ordered a size 6. This is definitely a keeper. Wish they have it on multiple colors.
